VB.Net 32 bit and 64 bit compatibility

I just change my computer from 32 bit to 64 bit. I'm using a 32 bit MS Office and just recently found out that the Component Object Model aren't compatible to 64 bit. The first compatibility issue that I've found out was the Microsoft Access when I was trying to connect my application to it. And then the next one is the Microsoft Excel.

But enough about that, first time I've experience it. I was wondering what if I compile my application in 64-bit and then install it to a 32-bit? Surely it won't run right? Is there a way to make it run in both 32 and 64 bit?
